Adobe launched the Flash Home and Flash Cast 2 technology at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today. It stated that major content providers like the MTV Networks, the Nasdaq Stock Market, eBay and Dolce & Gabbana are using Flash based mobile products and solutions to extend their brand.
Adobe Flash Home is a new mobile application for home screens while Adobe Flash Cast 2 is the next generation offline portal solution, delivering high-impact user experiences with instant access to data services.
Adobe also said that it will offer Adobe Flash Lite technology specifically designed for mobile and consumer electronics devices. Flash Lite 3 with support for Flash Player compatible video is already available in a wide range of devices, including the Nokia N95 series, Sony Mylo 2 and NTT DoCoMo’s 905i series. Shipment of devices with Flash Lite has grown more than 150% globally on a year-over-year basis.
